CHAPTER COMMITTEES

OA Troop/Team Representative Committee: The Chapter relays information regarding meetings and so forth through the OA Reps, and this committee makes sure they're doing this job. Each unit has their own Rep, so make sure you know him and keep up to date. If your troop doesn't have a Rep, volunteer today!

Ceremonial Committee: We were entranced by the amazing ceremonies at your Ordeal and want to try your hand at it? Then join the Ceremonies team! We're always looking for more Arrowmen to perform crossovers, Cub Scout shows, campfires, Ordeals, and many more…no experience necessary!!

American Indian Committee: This year, we hope to start Astatula's very first Dance and Drum team. If you want to learn more about this exciting aspect of American Indian culture, be sure to sign up early and often. Contact Chairman Tony Cox.

Lumberjack Club: Are you always spending countless hours in the woods? Do you find solace in making fires and trailblazing? If so, join the Lumberjack Club and learn the ways of the woods. Head Lumberjack Anthony, is always looking for new apprentices.

Unit Elections: Every one of us had to be elected to our Order, and every year new Brothers are inducted. If you remember, there was a team from the chapter who came in October or November and ran elections for your unit. Be sure to sign up for an elections team, because there are many units in our jurisdiction now.

Camp Promotions: This committee is very similar to Unit Elections, in that teams from the Chapter go out to our units and promote camping. We are the "camper's honor society," so it is fitting for us to prepare presentations promoting camping and, in particular, our council camp, La-No-Che. The teams generally go out in the spring, however, stay tuned for updates.

Publications: Do you ever find yourself writing up reviews of campouts, weekends, and other events in which you partake? Then you're perfect to join the staff for our monthly newsletter, The Quiver! Talk to Skyler for details.
