PROGRAMS AND EVENTS:

Chapter Meetings (first Thursday of every month): Regularly held at the Melbourne Church of Christ at 7:00pm. Like Troop meetings, Chapter meetings are important to attend. Information on upcoming events, such as all those listed below, is given, as well as planning for Chapter hosted events. Among the more important meetings are the January (planning for the Ordeal), February (new member welcome), and May (Chapter elections), so be sure to attend those. Meetings aren't all boring, though; we like to spice things up with cookouts, demonstrations, and other interesting experiences.

Lodge Leadership Development Program: As Tipisa's annual training day, time is devoted to building the leadership abilities that each member of our Order possesses. The day is spent learning about our lodge program and all the opportunities where an Arrowman can be involved.

Lodge Banquet: The Lodge Banquet is an annual gathering to celebrate Tipisa's accomplishments over the past year. This is also the time when the Past Lodge Chief presents the Most Dedicated Lodge Officer and Chairman and the Past Lodge Adviser awards the Most Dedicated Advisers. The Outstanding Service Award selection for the Youth and Adult are also presented.

Fall Fellowship (Sept. 7-9, 2007): The Fall Fellowship is a gathering at Camp La-No-Che to share the fellowship of our Brothers. During this weekend, training seminars are held to begin preparations for chapter Ordeals, the Quest for the Golden Arrow competition is held, and high-quality shows take place Friday and Saturday evenings plus many other activities.

Call-Out Weekend (November 16-18, 2007): Every year, our Chapter hosts a weekend for the district where all the units go to Camp Oklawaha for some friendly competition. The highlight of the weekend is the Callout, where we recognize those Scouts who have been elected by their units to our Order and are now permitted to attend the Ordeal. Brotherhood is also offered this weekend for those who are eligible.

Astatula Ordeal (January 11-13, 2008): This is the most important event of the year for a Chapter, for this is the time when new Scouts are inducted into our Order. This weekend, held for us at Camp Oklawaha is something all Arrowmen must pass through before becoming a Brother in our Order.

Spring Conclave: Tipisa's second fellowship weekend, held at Camp La-No-Che, greets our new brothers with enthusiasm and allows them to further their understanding of the Order. At this weekend, we have top-quality shows, informative training seminars, and the Quest for the Golden Arrow events, similar to those at the upcoming Section Conference. The annual Vigil Honor class is also recognized at this weekend.

Family Fest: Every year, our District puts on an event at Wickham Park where the area units all put up displays (the best of which are interactive in some fashion). Being that one of our prime goals in OA is Service, we create a display not dissimilar to those by the other units, generally with a Native American basis.

Astatula Chapter Banqut: Our Chapter will have an end of the year banquet to recognize our chapter's many accomplishments and to recognize outstanding Arrowmen within our chapter, much like the banquet hosted by the Lodge. More information will be available as the end of the year approaches.

Service Weekend: In keeping with our strong tradition of providing cheerful service to Central Florida Council and the youth it serves, our Service Weekend is held to prepare Camp La-No-Che for the hundreds of Summer Campers who will arrive for the summer camping season. Also at this weekend, annual election of lodge officers is held, as well as many chapter elections. However, the weekend isn't all business. There are plenty of opportunities to share in the fellowship of our Order in the Tipisa style!

Ultimate Showdown: Our Chapter will have an Ultimate Showdown one day where we will match skills and powers against the Estiotee Chapter in each event known to man. The date is unknown but the Estiotee Chapter lives in fear. The kings will reign supreme.
